Why and How Christians should pray for the Nation of Israel
Before answering this questions, I want you to read carefully to what follows:
First of all: If we are to pray for the nation of Israel it is imperative, as follower of Jesus Christ, to accept that we are living in the end times. On the other hand, It is nearly impossible to understand the end times and God’s plan for the present age without understanding the role Israel plays.
Why should Christians pray for the Nation of Israel
Unquestionably: The current tensions between Saudi Arabia and Iran, will escalate more and more in the Middle East eventually affecting the Nation os Israel.
Without a doubt: Israel and the nations of the world dominate the end times. Essentially the end times in scripture is the transition between the Kingdoms of this world and the Kingdom of God. During this transition: We, God’s people, the gentile Church that has been grafted into the promises of Israel has the privilege to receive the spirit of supplication that make us capable to intercede effectively on behalf of the Nation of Israel.
In the book of Romans chapter 11:24-28 makes a distinction between Israel and the gentiles believers. The end times is accomplished when Israel receives the promises of blessings because at that time the transition to the Kingdom of God will be accomplished.
How Christians should pray for the Nation of Israel
Among other kind of prayers:
We must speak blessings to them:
Lord, bless them and keep them, make Your face to shine upon them, and be gracious unto them.
Lord, lift up Your countenance upon them and give them peace [Num. 6:24-26]
Lord, let Your showers of blessings be upon them. [Ezekiel 34:26]
We must speak divine revelation to them:
Lord, let Your word be revealed in their life [Is. 40:5]
Lord, let them receive and understand Your hidden wisdom [1 Cor. 2:7]
Lord, let them experience the fear of the Lord, that is the key that opens the store of rich salvation and wisdom and knowledge [Is. 33:6]
We must use our legal rights as God’s children:
We are sitting in heavenly places in Christ, far above all principalities, power, might, and dominion [Eph. 1:3]
We, as a Church of Christ, have the blood of the lamb. [There is power in the blood of Jesus] [Yeshua].
We, as a Church of Christ, have the name of Jesus. [There is power in the name of Jesus] [Yeshua].
We, as a Church of Christ, have the Bible. [2 Peter 1:19].
We, as a Church of Christ, have the baptism in the Holy Spirit.
And by the power of Jesus’s resurrection, we have the authority to bind and to loose.
And because of this, we break and rebuke every plan in the heavens that would operate against the Nation of Israel in the name of Jesus. [Yeshua]
